Some Yellow Rose trivia...

On the cool, crisp mornings of Mirtul, in the lower elevations of the Earthspur mountains, the Monks of the Yellow Rose are known to venture from the monastery just before dawn holding small metal cups to seek an unusual beverage.

In small groves below the tree line, a particularly rare, oddly-scented tree grows with leaves that look like tiny rice bowls. A sticky sap on the leaves mixes with the condensation held there, before the sun comes up to evaporate it away.

This sweet, green-yellow mixture is prized for it's ability to keep the monks awake on long journeys and for the seeming boundless energy available to those who drink it. They gather it in their tin cups and seal it with a metal lid to keep it's unique properties in tact.

They call this highly valued liquid:

Mountain Dew
