Corim's Thoughts

This is crazy!
We are trapped in here.
The battle went so badly, I can't believe we're all still here.
First a pair of orcs began walking toward the rest of the group, with Slyl sneaking up behind them. I tried to get at least one of them, but my arrow went wide. Some goblins saw or heard the arrow and came running toward me. I wounded one but then they were distracted and ran toward the rest of the group.
It all fell apart from there. Slyl attacked, but missed. Then he got really torn up. I cast darkness so it would disorient the orcs and goblins and keep him from getting killed.
I found myself charging up behind a pair of orcs as they left the globe of darkness. I caught them by surprise and took both of them down! This new sword is amazing! Much sharper than my short sword.
I caught up with everyone else on the other side of the darkness. Somebody set one of the tents on fire, it was a good thing it was raining. That could have drawn too much attention to us.
Animosus was apparently a killing machine again. He cleaved right through two goblins. I guess he saved the battle.
With the goblins and orcs dead, we decided to find that temple and rescue Alyona. I led the way down the path to it. How did I not see the tripwire?! I paid for that little slip up. DAMN! That really hurt. Slyl took over from there. We came to the temple grounds and someone suggested that I try to reset that trap. Slyl and I went back to do it. It was fairly quick work. Slyl knows his traps!
I thought we were being stealthy, but Kelestri had to charge right in with her glowing green magic sword. Those were some nasty skeletons, glowing fiery eyes, throwing bolts of magic around. I'm glad we have Animosus to take the brunt of it. Kelestri destroyed one and the other disappeared. I had barely gotten the temple door open and she blew past me like a bad wind. We found Alyona just as described, tied on the altar. She was naked! I'm glad we killed those orcs. Monsters!Kelestri freed her legs and I freed her hands. Kelestri gave her a cloak and some clothes. Alyona was very grateful to ALL of us for rescuing her. She shared the potions in her backpack with us, I think we all felt better after that.
Eragon said this was an old temple of Mystra, but had been defiled by Bane, and some kind of god hating priest(?).
I thought we should start heading back, now that Alyona was safe, but EVERYone else thought going on was a better idea. We barred the door and read some words on the altar. It moved! So down we went. I left a little "gift" for the orcs for when they might arrive, a globe of impenetrable darkness. heh heh
So down we went, hopefully not to be trapped, into the chambers under the temple. We came to a heavy portcullis that was in front of what seems to be a tomb. So what do we do? Lift it up and trap ourselves inside. Somebody lit some candles on the altar in here and Slyl found a trapdoor in the floor. There was a bunch of stuff in there. Books, boots, weapons, we think all of this might be magical. I've got a nice new short sword, it has some writing on it. Since Alyona's shoes were missing I suggested we let her have the boots, and Eragon and Kelestri got into an argument about a brooch. Her eyes flashed like fire( like those undead?) and Eragon backed off. Then she gave it to Alyona!
Now we are stuck in here. Everyone is tired, and I hope no orcs find their way down here. Better yet, I hope there is a back way out!
I think I'd better get some sleep while I can...
